We specialize in landscape construction, hardscapes, and irrigation for residential and commercial clients across Northern Illinois.

The Role
We're looking for a Sales Lead / Estimator to own the front end of our design/build work — walking properties, scoping projects, building accurate estimates, and closing them. You'll work directly with homeowners and commercial clients from first conversation through handoff to our crews, and you'll have real influence over how the work gets sold and priced.
This is a role for someone who can sell and estimate. If you can design as well, even better.
What You'll Do
- Meet with prospects, walk properties, and take field measurements
- Develop accurate cost estimates, proposals, and contracts, and present them to clients
- Sell landscape, hardscape, and irrigation design/build projects
- Actively seek new opportunities to bid — new installs and remedial work
- Maintain accurate bid log records and tracking history
- Respond to client and prospect inquiries quickly and professionally
- Ask for leads and referrals from current clients
- Coordinate with field crews to ensure a clean handoff from sale to installation
- Maintain continuing education in sales, irrigation, and landscape design
What You Need
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in landscape construction, hardscape, and/or estimating
- Proven ability to scope and price a project accurately from a site visit
- Ability to read and communicate landscape plans and specification documents
- Comfortable with Excel, Word, and Outlook (design or takeoff software a plus)
- Familiarity with regional and native plant species
- Valid driver's license, clean driving record
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, professional in appearance and communication
Nice to Have
- Landscape design capability
- Design or takeoff software experience
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Existing relationships in the Rockford-area market
What We Offer
- $50,000–$55,000 base salary
- Uncapped commission on sold work — strong producers earn well above OTE
- On-target earnings $85,000+
